The champions league showdown is today, and boy it's going to be a hair-raising thriller. The two giants of football, PSG and Bayern go head to head in the finals, which is going to turn out to be a bamboozling event. The MISSION LISBON is on, the Teams are ready, the fans are ready(work from home lol) and we are ready to witness a hell of a game!!
From my point of view, I bet that Bayern is going to lift the Champions League trophy after the full-time whistle. I may be wrong, but I am willing to take a bet.
First, of all, let's look at the starting lineup of Bayern which they are probably going to start with going in the Finals.
1 Neuer - The Wall
2. Thiago -
3. LewanGOALski
4.Perisic
5.Boateng
6.Goretzka
7.Davies
8.Gnabry
9.Muller
10.Alaba
11.Kimmich

That Lineup is pretty strong, and yes you ought to get afraid if the team finds their Momentum early on in the game. The iconic duo to look out would certainly be Gnabry and Lewandoski, as they have been giving nightmares to the opposition. Gnabry, the magic chef is having the dream season of his life, scoring 9 goals in his 9 CL matches. Bayern is also on a dream run, scoring most Goals-per game in the Champion league season. They have scored 42 GOALS in 10 Games, which is an average of 4 games per match!! If they score 4+ goals in the final, they will be making a record for the most goals in a single UCL season by a team, which is currently held by Barcelona for 45 Goals. Bayern also becomes the first team ever to win their first 10 games of a CHAMPIONS LEAGUE campaign. MADNESS!! They haven't lost a single game yet!!
TACTICS
We have seen that Bayern likes to press high initially and create chances from the wings. The Left-back of the team, Davies, is in a phenomenal form right now and can create problems for PSG down the line. He is fast, agile, has got a vision, and can dribble past the players easily. It would be interesting to see the battle between the two young prodigies, DAVIES and MBAPPE, and who will outpace who. PSG would certainly be keeping an eye on him if they wish to remain in the game. The right-back for Bayern is equally threatening, Kimmich, who can turn out to be sensational and would keep track of DI MARIA, who is also in a scintillating form.
Serge Gnabry, the magician right-winger, is the man to look out for. Scoring 9 GOALS back to back in 9 Games and providing two assist, his confidence would be sky high and would be looking to get more goals and secure his team the Champions League trophy. He also scored a screamer against LYON in the semifinals and won Player of the week as well as got the goal of the week award. PSG will certainly be looking to keep an eye on him. THIAGO would be leading the team from midfield, and the pinpoint accuracy of his passes and control is one thing PSG would certainly be looking onto. Boateng and Alaba would be the dynamic duo in the defense and they are pretty strong in defending and tackling the opponents and throwing them off their momentum. Neuer would again be looking to keep a clean sheet going into the big game.
TRUMP CARD
The trump card for Bayern, as you all know is the man who has been in a stellar form for the REDS and has scored in every single game for them. Robert Lewandoski has scored 55 goals this season IN 46 GAMES and has 15 goals in the champions league. If he starts seeing the back of the net, he probably would be hard to stop. Lewandoski meanwhile is coming close to Cristiano's all-time goal record in the Champions League in a single season. Cristiano has 17 goals in the season 2013-14, which is the highest by any player in a single champions league season. If Lewandoski manages to score more than 2 goals, then he will be setting a new record of having the highest goals in a single season in the Champions League. PSG has got to look out for this ALIEN in particular who knows no limits if he starts scoring.
So, who all are you rooting for? Comment down and tell us why. Leave a thumbs up if you loved the post.
